Q1: What is the annual subscription fee?

A1: $2.95 per year, less than a good cup of coffee.

Q2: What do users like the most about the NFO IQ app?

A2: Good question, I would say the user friendliness and security feature of the app. Regarding college students, mentioned was the “Scan History” feature because students often scan QR codes in college; and having a scan history is awesome user experience.

Q3: How many people are projected to scan QR codes in 2025?

3A: It is projected that over 100M users will scan QR codes in 2025.

Q4: How does the NFO IQ app work?

A4: Upon scanning a QR code, the NFO IQ app in real time checks the weblink. If the website can be verified, the app’s Scan Notice will appear with a green shield signifying that website is safe given the low-risk score. As with a green traffic light, the user can proceed. 100% safety cannot be guaranteed. In this case, the user can proceed, and tap “Continue” to open the weblink. 

Q5: Have NFO IQ verified all the websites?

A5: No. The website verification process is ongoing. Small businesses and non-profits can complete an online verification application via our NFOSAFE website. We are continuously working to enhance our abilities with advanced automation and third-party integrations to enhance our verification capabilities. 

Q6: What happens if I get a Red Shield?

A6: When a Scan Notice displays a red shield upon scanning QR code, it is signifying that the scanned weblink has not been verified. As with a red traffic light, the user is to stop and only proceed if the user can verify the weblink. See Q7 below for more details.

Q7: What is the User's List of Trusted URLs?

A7: That is a great question. We developed the NFO IQ with the understanding that there are approximately 25.4 million businesses with websites in the USA. Many small businesses, like restaurants, are within communities where the individuals in the community shop and get to know the business and the business owner. We developed features to empower users to be able to personally verify the trust worthiness of those businesses and owners where they regularly shop.  

NFO IQ provides the ability where each user can add a trusted business to his or her "Users List of Trusted URLs" via the "User Control" feature.  In circumstances where the user knows the business and can personally verify the trust worthiness of the business’ website, the user can click “Continue & Save” to add the weblink to the Users List of Trusted URLs. NFO IQ empowers users with the ability to control their personal experiences. When a user adds a website to his or her personal Users List of Trusted URLs; thereafter, when the user scans a QR code embedded with a URL that matches one of the URL from a User's List of Trusted URLs, the Scan Notice will display a green shield to signify that the scanned URL is verified. 

Why is this important?  

First, it is a proactive method for users to verify and add small business websites to their personal Users List of Trusted URLs. Each user can help protect themselves with the NFO IQ app. If a fraudster had attempted to replace the business QR code with a fraudulent QR code, NFO IQ would have provided an alert with a red shield. In this scenario, the fraudster's attempt would have been detected with the NFO IQ app. The alert would have been enough for users to have avoided the attempted scam. 

Secondly, by having users to add trusted small businesses to their personal Users List of Trusted URLs, it not only makes a safer experience, but it helps to support small businesses.

Q8: Can I use my fingerprint to register or sign up for the app?

A8: Not yet. Please do not use your fingerprint when registering or signing up.
